Maintaining the professional reputation of all of our members is incredibly important to us. As our industry continues to evolve, we no longer believe genuine opportunities are being offered to our members under the umbrella of ‘no pay’ opportunities. We have therefore removed ‘no pay’ roles from Spotlight.
Whilst reviewing all our pay categories of work, we have also made the decision to remove ‘expenses only’ jobs to ensure our members only receive appropriate, professional roles.
Whilst we accept that as a performer you may on occasion consider unpaid roles to gain experience/exposure we feel that as the UK’s leading casting platform, it’s important for us to be at the forefront of fairness and professionalism, and to recognise that these kinds of roles don’t pay your bills! We’ve taken this decision after careful consideration to ensure you’re only offered paid roles and to set the expectations within our industry that performers must always be fairly paid.
